Boundary Bay Brewery Part of Chowder Competition
The Dirty Dan Days festival was held this weekend in Fairhaven and, as part of the weekend festivities, we participated in a chowder competition down on the Village Green. Our Boundary Bay Brewery booth was manned by the Soup Dude himself and he whipped up a spanish style seafood chowder with homemade chorizo just for this special event! There were 19 local businesses competing for Best Chowder including Mambo Italiano, Skylarks Hidden Cafe, Haggen, and the Web Locker. Chef Alex took home first place in the competition, with Haggen placing 2nd and Skylark’s placing 3rd. Skylarks did, however, leave with the People’s Choice Award! We sold out of all our chowder and got about 26 votes for People’s Choice, but sadly, this time the Soup Dude’s chowder didn’t bring home the gold!
