Gunther Frank
Gunther Frank is a well known member of the Bellingham music and arts scene and we have been fortunate to have him photograph some of our Friday night late shows at Boundary Bay Brewery. This last weekend, Gunther was in a sailboating accident and he (along with his friend Sean Mansfield) have not yet been found. The U.S. Coast Guard had two boats and a helicopter searching for the men Friday morning, but it suspended the search effort pending further developments that afternoon. The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office declared Frank and Mansfield missing and presumed drowned Friday, but friends are holding out hope. They have continued to search for Gunther Frank and Sean Mansfield and are doing everything they can to find their friends. The sadness of losing these two majestic beings is palpable. Although, there is comfort in knowing their energy and essence forever remain with us and they are never truly gone.
