The Boundary Bay Brewery approach to beer is to render excellent examples of classic styles. In some cases–such as with our IPA, Imperial IPA and Imperial Oatmeal Stout–we push the envelope and make a very big and flavorful brew. We’ve got seven of our regular house brews always on tap and we rotate our seasonal brews through our remaining three taps here at Boundary Bay. From time to time our brewers like to dabble in brewing a series of Single Hop Pale Ales, an endeavor to educate those who are interested in the flavor of the individual hops used in making our award winning ales. 14th in our series is Strisselspalt, a French aroma hop from Alsace, used mostly in pale lagers and similar to Hersbrucker. This single hop brew is on tap NOW at Boundary, so don’t miss your chance to try this French hop with a mild, lingering finish. It would make a nice counterpoint to all the strong winter beers up for grabs this time of year!
