The long and varied musical journey of Fred Cole began 45 years ago in Las Vegas with his band The Lords. From there Fred’s music has taken him across the globe as he has shared the stage with the likes of Janice Joplin, The Doors, and the Ramones with his bands The Weeds, The Lollipop Shoppe, and King Bee.
Along the way Fred fell in love with and married his wife of 42 years Toody, whom he taught to play bass and involved in his musical ventures leading up to the 1987 formation of Dead Moon.
During the 20 years Dead Moon was active they recorded and released 16 albums of raw garage-country-punk music, Toured the U.S. and Europe, won the adoration of famous fans like Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, and were the subject of a 2006 internationally released documentary.
After Dead Moon called it a day in 2006, Fred & Toody wasted no time in forming Pierced Arrows with Portland punk musician Kelly Halliburton. Since their 2007 debut, Pierced Arrows savage rock ‘n roll has been earning them critical praise and winning over fans old and new.
Tonight Pierced Arrows, and the Cole’s, will continue their musical journey with a not to be missed appearance at Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro in the beer garden. Doors open at 9pm and tickets are $5.
