Best Brewery in Washington!

Posted on December 14, 2009 by Boundary Bay

Big news for our little brewery!  We were named the 2009 Small Business of The Year by the Bellingham/Whatcom County Chamber of Commerce last week.  And, earlier in December, we were awarded Best Brewery in Washington State by the Readers Choice Awards in the Northwest Brewing News publication.  These particular awards matter a great deal to us because they represent what the people who support our business think of what we do.  We have been fortunate to win many beer awards and each of those medals signal a triumph in the craft beer community.  But the awards we’ve received this month, reflect our connection to our community of customers, neighbors, friends and fans who make it possible for us to keep doing what we do. We have always tried to make strong connections with our customers and our community…in the hopes of making Bellingham as a whole a stronger community.  These awards make us feel like we’ve succeeded in doing just that.  Thank you, from all of us here at Boundary Bay Brewery.  And cheers!  (great image of our brewery posted on a Bellingham blog by lizziviggi.)

Boundary Beer for 4th of July

Posted on June 25, 2009 by Boundary Bay

july4_printAre you looking for something to do on the 4th of July?  Do ever-tightening budgets and a backseat full of little ones narrow your options for fun ways to spend your day?  Well, look no further!

The Port of Bellingham, the Bellingham Chamber of Commerce and the Haggen Family have all teamed up to bring Bellingham a 4th of July celebration we can all enjoy at Zuanich Point Park from 1-11pm on Saturday, July 4th.  The annual Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration this year will include live bands and children’s activities at Bellingham’s before the evening’s fireworks display!  And, best of all, Boundary Bay Brewery will be there with our beer.

Thousands of people annually view the Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration’s fireworks. Haggen has been the primary sponsor of the Bellingham fireworks display, one of the largest in the state, since 1995.  This year’s Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration will include local bands performing from 1- 9:30 p.m. A Kids Zone will feature a variety of free activities , vendors selling food and crafts and a beer garden (with you know who!!!). The fireworks show will start at approximately 10:30 p.m.   All events will be free. Look for the Boundary Bay Brewery Beer Garden at the Zuanich Park celebration between 5 and 10:30 pm!

PIONEERS OF BELLINGHAM BEER!

Boundary Bay Brewery opened in 1995 and we've been Saving The Ales ever since!

We pride ourselves on making great handcrafted beer and fresh, local food for the Bellingham community.

Our brewery, which houses a Tap Room and a family friendly Bistro, is located in a historic 1922 warehouse in Downtown Bellingham, across from the Saturday Farmer’s Market.

We also have a great deck for outdoor dining and a Beer Garden where you can enjoy BBQ's and outdoor concerts in the Summer. You can see why this is where the locals love to go!

We work hard to brew great craft beer and we've been recognized with over 70 awards for our handcrafted beers over the years. Come see what makes us so special!
