Bluegrass Mondays at Boundary Bay Brewery

Posted on February 17, 2010 by Boundary Bay

Boundary Bay Brewery is a place the locals like to go…it’s the neighborhood pub where everyone feels at home.  We’ve even been described as “Pure Bellingham!”  And now that we’ve got Bluegrass happening again every Monday, this place will feel even MORE homey!  Come check out the Bluegrass band Polecat every Monday night from 8:30-10 pm in our Tap Room for free!

Polecat plays vocal based new-grass songs written by Aaron Guest as well as a lot of fun covers, from old blues/bluegrass/country to modern classics & a few instrumental reel-style songs featuring Jeremy and Cayley. This project, while composed of mostly traditional instruments, is not a traditional string band. It’s a combination of all the member’s influences – reels, rock, blues, country, etc. They all write their own parts and make it happen collectively! Lead man Aaron says he is honored to play with some of the best players in town.

Aaron Guest (also in Vantage) – vocals and 12 string guitar
Jeremy Elliott (also in Vaughn Kreestoe) – electric and acoustic lead guitar
Cayley Schmid (also in Giant’s Causeway) – fiddle
Richard Reeves – upright bass
Karl Olson (also in Umami) – drums

PIONEERS OF BELLINGHAM BEER!

Boundary Bay Brewery opened in 1995 and we've been Saving The Ales ever since!

We pride ourselves on making great handcrafted beer and fresh, local food for the Bellingham community.

Our brewery, which houses a Tap Room and a family friendly Bistro, is located in a historic 1922 warehouse in Downtown Bellingham, across from the Saturday Farmer’s Market.

We also have a great deck for outdoor dining and a Beer Garden where you can enjoy BBQ's and outdoor concerts in the Summer. You can see why this is where the locals love to go!

We work hard to brew great craft beer and we've been recognized with over 70 awards for our handcrafted beers over the years. Come see what makes us so special!
