New Treats at Boundary Bay Brewery!

Posted on October 17, 2011 by Boundary Bay

We’ve updated our dessert menu a bit and we’ve got a new idea to keep it interesting.  We’ll have the same basic items on our dessert menu every day, however the flavors of certain dishes will change seasonally.  Here’s the basic menu:

Crème Brulee: a rich custard dessert with a contrasting layer of caramelized sugar, served with crisp petite cookies.  $6

Pie of the Week: bakers choice of local and seasonal flavors, changing often.  Ask you server for details.  $6  (add $2 for A La Mode)

Cheesecake: New York style cheesecake, with a graham-hazelnut crust and flavors rotating to reflect the season.  $7

Chocolate Decadence Cake: a slice of dense chocolate cake, covered in a rich ganache and served with a delicate raspberry sauce.  Gluten free!  $7

Boundary Bay Brownie Sundae: our version of the traditional brownie sundae with a pecan brownie and local Mallard’s ice cream, smothered in a rich chocolate ganache sauce.  $6

Root Beer Float: Did you know that we brew our own root beer?  You can’t go wrong with this delicious combination of local ice cream from Mallard’s and root beer made right here in-house!  Or…try an Oatmeal Stout float if you dare!  Root Beer Float $3.75 / Oatmeal Stout Float $5.50

Our seasonal flavors are for the cheesecake, the pie and the creme brulee.  For Fall, we’ll be serving up a lemon cheesecake with a homemade lemon curd topping, a dutch apple pie with local Akane apples from Cloud Mountain Farm and squash creme burlee (made with squash from Cloud Mountain Farm) served with lemon cookies. Wanna try making the butternut squash creme brulee on your own?  Check out the recipe here on our blog!

New Desserts at BBAY!

Posted on January 7, 2011 by Boundary Bay

We’re pretty famous for our beer here at Boundary Bay Brewery.  And there are those who speak swooningly about our Mac and Cheese, Yam Alecheladas and Smoked Salmon Chowder.  Strangely, though, not many people know we do desserts too!  We like to switch up our dessert menu each season and we’ve just put together our new selection of sweet treats for our Winter Dessert Menu.  Check out the great options below and bring your sweetie here soon for some bread pudding or an Oatmeal Stout Float!

Squash Creme Brulee ($5)- this is our own catering manager’s award-winning recipe for Butternut Squash Creme Brulee, finished with a caramelized brown sugar top.

Chocolate Cherry Bread Pudding ($5)- cubed chocolate cherry cake, twice-baked in brown sugar custard.

Boundary Brownie Sundae ($6)- the traditional brownie sundae including a pecan brownie, local Mallards vanilla ice cream and a rich chocolate ganache sauce.

Pie of the Week ($5) – our baker selects fruits and berries to make this traditional and satisfying dessert.  Ask you server about today’s selection.

Lemon Cheesecake with Hazelnut Crust ($6) – creamy lemon cheesecake on top, crunchy hazelnut crust on bottom.

Root Beer or Oatmeal Stout Float – did you know that we brew our own rootbeer?  Try it in this delicious combination! Or, try an Oatmeal Stout Float, if you dare.  $2.75 (Root Beer Float) or $4.50 (Oatmeal Stout Float)

New Desserts at Boundary Bay Brewery

Posted on February 12, 2010 by Boundary Bay

Our Bay-ker here at Boundary Bay Brewery loves changing up the dessert menu…and he’s been at it again!  Here are our  newest dessert offerings which should stick around until Spring.

Be sure to try the White Chocolate Cream Puff which is our Have A Heart 4 Haiti dessert all next week! From February 14th to the 19th, during our week long fundraiser for the American Red Cross, we’ll be donating 100% of the proceeds from all cream puff sales (click here to see all the details on our Have A Heart 4 Haiti fundraiser!).

Enjoy!

Dolce pievan0 (dole-chay pee-ay-va-no):  This Tiramisu-like desert consists of a custard flavored with espresso, spiced rum and cocoa with layers of lady finger pastry soaked in a dry marsala wine showcases our bakers love of classic Italian cookery. $7

Boundary Brownie Sundae: A rich chocolaty brownie marbled with a cream cheese filling and walnuts toppped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and our signature Oatmeal Stout chocolate sauce. $6.50

Chocolate Hazelnut Port Cake: A decadent flourless chocolate cake infused with hazelnut crumbs and a port wine reduction.  Covered in a rich port chocolate ganache and sprinkled with ground hazelnuts. $6.50

White Chocolate Cream Puff: A light and flaky puff of pastry filled with a white chocolate mousse sweet enough to sate the most fiendish sweet tooth. $5

Root Beer Float: Did you know that we brew our own Root Beer?  You can’t go wrong with this delicious combination.  Or…try an Oatmeal Stout float, if you dare.

Root Beer Float $2.75
Oatmeal Stout Float $4.50
