Here at Boundary Bay Brewery, it’s always been important to us to build relationships rather than just conduct business. We pride ourselves on being an active part of the Bellingham community and an open dialogue is a big part of that.
Thanks to some of our wonderful vegan diners, we got great feedback that helped us take steps in our kitchen to help ensure the vegan food options STAY vegan. Our kitchen had been set up in a way that all too easily allowed simple mistakes during the food prep like a little bit of grated parmesan making it’s way into the shredded carrots for our salads. Thereby making the salad no longer vegan. Now, we’ve just rearranged things slightly and no more cheese in the carrots! We always appreciate anyone with special dietary needs giving us feedback as to how we can help make their dining experience better.
And so, for all our vegan diners, here’s a list of what’s vegan on the Boundary Bay Brewery menu:
* our thai vinaigrette
* our lemon thyme vinaigrette
* any of our salads (if ordered with the thai or lemon thyme vinaigrette and without cheese)
* the tapenade
* chips and salsa (both red and green salsa!)
* black beans and rice
* our yellow curry
* the BLAT – aka: bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato (if ordered with tempeh bacon and eggless mayo)
* and the tofu sandwich
You can also order tempeh as a substitute in some of our other dishes like the fish tacos or the ruben. Don’t be afraid to talk to your waitstaff about your dietary needs and ask about substitutions even if you don’t see it listed on the menu! Cheers.
